Video has gone from being an occasional piece of promotional content to becoming a constant part of how artists, festivals, labels and brands are seen – and sometimes even how they are judged. From the classic aftermovie to an endless stream of short-form content, the way we create, edit and consume video has changed dramatically.
In this masterclass, we look at that evolution from the perspective of the editor. How did we move from making one film a year to feeding a permanent content machine? When did the clip become part of the decision-making process for promoters, labels and audiences? And why, in an age of increasingly short content, are documentaries, artist portraits and other longform formats making a comeback?
A look at how video editing has changed, what content means today, and where it might be heading next.
Please note that most of our sessions will be in Dutch.
