Wim Cochet learned to shoot as a military cameraman, on assignment in Belgium and abroad, all over the world really. It’s a job where the light is never right, the schedule is never yours, and you keep rolling anyway. You learn to read a situation fast, and find the story inside it. That turned out to be useful preparation for nightlife.

Music came in 2013, at Sónar in Barcelona, covering the Mobilee Records showcases for Anja Schneider and Ralf Kollmann. What started as one job became a yearly fixture on Sónar Off, the same city, the same week, for years. Back home he was building a parallel life in Belgian nightlife as a freelance cameraman. Barcelona is also where he started working with Alban Lebacq. They shot together long enough, and liked it enough, that at some point it made no sense to keep doing it separately. That became 10AM.

10AM is a production house rooted in Antwerp that has grown into a brand of its own, an
award-winning agency covering nineteen festivals across Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Austria, working with corporate and music clients internationally. What holds it together is the people: a fixed crew of genuinely talented, genuinely loyal makers who know each other’s rhythm, and a clear sense of who 10AM is. Whether it’s a boardroom film or a mainstage aftermovie, the job is the same: find the story, and tell it properly.
